Back in September, I noted the bizarre case of a family was suing Creative Commons to do with unauthorised use of their daughters picture in a Virgin Media Australia advert. Creative Commons has now been voluntarily dismissed from the case, reports Technollama. The Creative Commons website gives a statement by Larry Lassig:
"I applaud the decision of plaintiffs’ counsel to remove Creative Commons from this lawsuit. We work hard to make our work clear, but it is absolutely clear that there is no basis in law for the suit they filed against us"
