TechnoLlama has spotted an interesting looking event happening later this month. According to their website/wiki, Identity Society is "a UK-based project that promotes creative conversations, both within and across specific interest groups and specialisms, about the relevance of "identity" to the evolution of society."
The Society is holding its first event on 19 February at the London BT Tower. The subject of the event is fairly open-ended at this stage, and the organisers seem to want to keep it that way. The topics listed for discussion at this stage are:
- "Real and virtual currencies
- Mobile Identity
- Web and "non-web"(?) tech
- Current Events in Identity,
- National identity schemes (ID Card and its alternatives)
- Identity Start-ups,
- Identity and the Business Community
- Identity Infrastructure,
- People Using Tech Centric Technology,
- Customer Management paired with Supplier Management (both deliberately wider than their little brothers CRM and VRM)."
This looks like a really interesting event, and highly relevant to the IT industry and IT lawyers. It's also a great excuse for some sightseeing from one of the highest points in London, so I'll be taking along my camera!
I'd be interested to know if anyone who reads this blog will be attending. If you are, post a comment or email us.
