Threaten and be published
I've written several times over the past couple of months about the changing nature of the world and the way in which blogs are being used to spread news of what some consider inappropriate allegations or the big corporations throwing their weight around.
For example, see my post about allegations made by Apple about the use of "pod".
Another story has appeared today on the TechCrunch site, which has been threatened by the lawyers for YouTube. What's interesting about the post is that is contains the letters that have been written and a public "get lost" response.
It is hard to know at the moment where this type of response will go and whether it will have any impact on the nature or manner in which a "Goliath" might threaten a "David". However the trend is clear. Certainly, the impact of blogging, one way or another can affect the view of the lawyers at least. There's a post about this sort of thing today on the Human Law blog, albeit from a slightly different angle.
