Problems using "POD"

Although a US story, I noticed that Apple have sought to oppose a US trade mark application for "PROFIT POD" for an infrared data transmission and collection system. It's lawyers have written to the applicant saying it is a "POD-formative" mark. Read the full story on the ZD net article, including links through to the letter written by Apple's lawyers.
